Stepping Up, Together: a look back at 2024–2025
ELIO closed the 2024–2025 term with 27 meetings, 16 new members, and a President's Distinguished award, capping a year built around one theme: Stepping Up, Together.
ELIO Toastmasters Club closed its final meeting of the 2024–2025 term under the leadership of President Hannah F. Toofanee, marking the end of a year built around a single theme: Stepping Up, Together.
The term included 27 meetings, an internal club contest, joint meetings with Financial Toastmasters and Aurora Toastmasters, and a landmark three-club joint session with Ace Speakers and Aurora Toastmasters in Mauritius, along with the club's first outdoor meeting, an Open House, twelve educational sessions, a Speechcraft programme, and a Public Speaking and Leadership workshop. Sixteen new members joined over the course of the year.
The club's achievements for the term included President's Distinguished status with ten Distinguished Club Program goals met in six months, the MyWhy Campaign award, the Treasurer's Excellence Award, the Ralph Smedley Award, and a Triple Crown Award earned by President Hannah Toofanee, who was also nominated among Presidents of the Year.
Officers, members, and guests all had a hand in the term's results. As the gavel prepared to pass to a new administration, the club carried forward not just a set of milestones, but a legacy built on showing up, speaking up, and stepping up together.
