One island, one Division: a Toastmasters week in Mauritius

A week of learning, leadership and celebration as Toastmasters from across Mauritius welcomed District leaders to the island.

It was a memorable week for the Toastmasters family in Mauritius. We had the pleasure of welcoming District Director DTM Margaret and Program Quality Director DTM Njeri to the island for a week of connection, learning, leadership and celebration.

Our thanks go to Division Director DTM Hannah and Assistant Division Director Sharmila. They organised the week's events and made it one to remember.

ELIO members were proud to play their part. Sewin served as Toastmaster of the Evening at MRA Toastmasters Club, during a joint meeting of clubs from across Mauritius. Our Vice President Education, Ridhwaan, supported the Corporate Summit by managing morning attendance, and Sadat took the stage there as a speaker. Our President, Vanshinee, introduced the Gaveliers during the Gavelier Showcase. Paramen, Ludmila and Sohni worked behind the camera at several events, capturing moments we'll be looking back on for a long time. Many more members simply showed up, took part and represented ELIO, right through to the Gala Night.

A heartfelt thank you to the Division E Executive Committee for bringing Toastmasters from across Mauritius together. There is something special about having every club under one roof, reconnecting as one big family and celebrating the values we share.

The week was more than a series of events. It reminded us that beyond our individual clubs, we belong to a wider community that inspires us to grow, communicate and lead. Hearing directly from our District Director and Program Quality Director made it all the more special. It also gave us a chance to reflect on where Toastmasters is heading.
