Session 113: building cathedrals, and electing our next leaders

A session on patience and vision, led by founding member Madhav Meetarbhan, closed with the election of ELIO’s 2026–2027 Executive Committee.

Session 113 was a members-only sitting built around a single image: the cathedral builder, laying stone after stone with patience, vision, and commitment. Toastmaster of the Day Madhav Meetarbhan — a founding member and former president — invited every speaker to find their own reading of "Bâtisseur de Cathédrale," construire avec patience, vision et engagement.

The club was honoured to welcome several past presidents and the president-elect to the session, a gathering that underlined the continuity of leadership ELIO has built since its founding.

After prepared speeches and evaluations, the session turned to its most consequential item: the election of the Executive Committee for 2026–2027, held with quorum. Members elected Vanshinee Bhirugnath as President, alongside a full slate of officers who will lead the club into its next chapter — a chapter measured against the club’s long-standing goal, one repeated at every milestone: 20 years, 20 presidents.
