Meet ELIO's Executive Committee for 2025–2026

A new Toastmasters year opened under the theme ‘Empowering Every Voice, Rising Stronger Together,’ with Sewin Sungkur taking over as President.

A new Toastmasters year opened for ELIO on 13 July 2025 under the theme ‘Empowering Every Voice, Rising Stronger Together.’ The club's Executive Committee for 2025–2026 was formally announced: Sewin Sungkur as President, Yashita Ramduny as Vice President Education, Devina G. Jevallee as Vice President Membership, Nikhil Y. Arianaick as Vice President Public Relations, Vanshinee Bhirugnath as Secretary, Dushali Jhurree as Treasurer, Ridhwaan Bundhun as Sergeant at Arms, and Hannah F. Toofanee continuing as Immediate Past President.

The club's 93rd session, held the same week, gave the new administration its first outing. Secretary Vanshinee opened the meeting, and President Sewin, doubling as Toastmaster of the Day, introduced the year's theme to the room. Five prepared speeches, from Miora, Ayushee, Meetusha, Gawree, and Vanshinee, filled out the programme, with Gawree and Ayushee sharing Best Speaker honours and Shazia named Best Evaluator for her first outing in the role.

Table Topics, led by Melodia, and a general evaluation from Sawan rounded out a session the club described as a strong start to a new mandate, and, as its officers put it, only the beginning.
